Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Who can participate in surrogacy programs in Georgia?
According to Georgian law, surrogacy is permitted for heterosexual married couples or couples living together for more than one year with medical indications of infertility. Unfortunately, single individuals and same-sex couples are not currently eligible under Georgian legislation.
Is surrogacy legal in Georgia?
Yes. Gestational surrogacy is fully legal in Georgia for eligible couples. The law ensures that intended parents are recognized as the legal parents from the moment of birth. The surrogate has no legal rights over the child.
Can international clients work with TB Fertility?
Absolutely. We have extensive experience working with intended parents from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America. Our team offers multilingual support and helps with consular and embassy-related processes.
How long does the surrogacy process take?
On average, the full journey — from consultation and matching to birth — takes 12 to 18 months. This can vary depending on medical requirements, embryo availability, and legal or travel considerations.
Surrogacy Program Questions
How are surrogates selected and screened?
Our surrogates undergo rigorous screening including:
- • Age (21–35) and previous healthy pregnancy.
- • Medical testing (hormonal, infectious, gynecological).
- • Psychological evaluation.
- • Legal clearance and consent procedures.
Only candidates who meet all ethical and medical standards are approved.
Can I meet the surrogate?
Yes. While many clients choose to maintain privacy, a video or in-person meeting can be arranged if both parties are comfortable. All communication is mediated respectfully through your coordinator.
What medical support do surrogates receive?
TB Fertility provides full prenatal care, monthly check-ups, ultrasounds, nutritional support, emotional counseling, and delivery in a top-tier Tbilisi hospital.
Egg Donation Questions
Who are your egg donors?
Our donors are healthy women aged 20–32 who have passed:
- • Hormonal & fertility testing (AMH, FSH).
- • Infectious disease screening.
- • Genetic testing (as required).
- • Psychological evaluation.
They are of various ethnic backgrounds and may be local or international.
Can I choose the egg donor?
Yes. We provide detailed profiles including physical traits, education, and medical history. You’ll work closely with a coordinator to select the right match for your needs.
Are the donors anonymous?
In Georgia, egg donation is anonymous by law, unless both parties mutually agree to share identities. In other countries (Cyprus, Armenia, etc.), laws may vary depending on program type.
International Program Questions
Can TB Fertility provide programs outside Georgia?
Yes. We coordinate surrogacy and egg donation in Armenia, India, Cambodia, Cyprus, and other countries through trusted clinical and legal partnerships. International donors are also available for travel-based cycles.
Will you help with legal documents and embassy procedures?
Absolutely. Our legal team ensures:
- • Notarized contracts in line with Georgian law.
- • Parental rights are granted at birth.
- • Full assistance with birth certificate, passport, and embassy exit processes.
Financial & Administrative Questions
What does a full surrogacy program cost?
A standard gestational surrogacy program in Georgia typically ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 USD, depending on medical needs, donor involvement, and program structure.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We offer flexible, milestone-based payment schedules, and accept payments via bank transfer in USD, EUR, or GEL, AED, based on official invoices.
Will I get reports and updates throughout the process?
